Join the Olathe Historical Society for a special screening of their Emmy-award winning documentary Olathe: The City Beautiful. Watch the three newest films, completed in March 2022, and hear more from a guest speaker about the topics covered.

America's Boyfriend, Olathe's Star - Actor Buddy Rogers: Buddy Rogers became a household name after his starring role in the 1927 epic film WINGS. This young man, who was born and raised in Olathe, would go on to a lifetime of stardom.

The New Pioneers - MidAmerica Nazarene University: In 1966, an Olathe businessman and local pastor walked out across a cornfield just east of I-35. They had a vision that would lead to Olathe's first institution of higher learning.

Then and Now - Urban Renewal: Olathe opened an Urban Renewal office in the 1960s that was tasked to use federal funds to modernize and improve the downtown. When Urban Renewal was over, Olathe would never be the same.
