Meet & Greet with Author Matthew Landis

Join us for a presentation by Matthew Landis, author of Trail Challenge book, It's the End of the World As I Know It. Landis, a full-time 8th grade history teacher from Pennsylvania, will share his journey from teacher to writer, as well as the inspiration for his most recent middle grade novel, It's The End of the World As I Know It, nominated by students in Olathe Public Schools for the 2021-2022 Trail Challenge reading tournament. Matthew will also do a Q and A and sign books provided by The Green Door.

About the Author: Matthew is the author of three books and a forthcoming novel from Dial/Penguin Random House in 2022. He won Mississippi's 2020 Magnolia Book Award and the ILA 2019 Teacher’s Choices Reading List Award. A two-time Junior Library Guild recipient, Matthew's latest book, It's The End of the World As I Know It, was shortlisted for Oklahoma's Sequoyah Book Award, the Missouri Truman Reading Award, and the South Dakota Teen Choice Award. He has 4 kids under 7 years old, 35 chickens, and loves tacos. He hasn't slept good since 2015.
