Experiment with various types of poetry at three different stations: blackout poetry, concrete poetry, and magnetic tile poetry. Absolute beginners are welcome! Prompts, guided activities, and a low-stakes environment will make poetry easy and fun. And if the mood strikes, some of the poems can be turned into art for at-home display.
For 3rd-5th graders.
