Program Description

Event Details

Local musician Alyssa Murray leads a songwriting workshop where you'll learn lyric writing, song forms (verse, chorus, bridge, etc.), and how to find the balance between developing your own original ideas and learning from other creatives.

Alyssa is a Kansas City based singer/songwriter, keyboardist, and producer who received her Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from UMKC. You can hear her music on the Eight One Sixty show on 90.9 The Bridge. In addition to performing, Alyssa is an accompanist with the Kansas City Ballet and is involved with its community program Reach Out And Dance. She has also played for Owen/Cox Dance Group's in-school program Take the Stage. Find out more at alyssamurraymusic.com.
