About Rupert Wates: In 2018, Rupert Wates was a finalist at the Kerrville new Folk Song Contest, and an Emerging Artist at Falconridge Folk Festival. In the last five years alone, 30 of his songs have been covered by other artists, including three tribute albums to his material recorded by performers in Nashville, Denver, and Los Angeles. He averages 120 live shows a year in every state in the US, in Canada, and in Europe.
