Author Laura Moriarty will be the featured speaker at the Olathe Public Library Foundation's 'A Taste of Literacy' dinner. She has written several best-selling novels, including While I'm Falling and The Chaperonewhich was made into a feature film by PBS Masterpiece. She lives in Lawrence and is a professor of Creative Writing at the University of Kansas. She will speak about her work followed by a Q&A session.

A social hour with cash bar will begin at 5:30 pm followed by dinner at 6:30 pm and the author presentation at 7:00 pm. The Olathe North High School Culinary Arts Program will cater the meal.
