What is Death Café? It's where people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea, and have an open conversation about death with no agenda, objectives, or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session. Hosted by Heather Schaller, with support by Penwell-Gabel.

The Death Café model was introduced in 2011, and since then, over 6000 death cafes have been held in more than 50 countries. You can find more information on the model at www.deathcafe.com.
