Strong communication skills are essential for us all. For those experiencing hearing loss, understanding what others are saying can become increasingly difficult. People with and without hearing loss can learn the valuable communication skill of lipreading. In this multi-session class, instructor Shanna Groves, M.S.Ed., will provide research-based solutions to understanding spoken language through the skill of lipreading.
Attendees will learn the R-E-A-D strategy of understanding speech - Relax, Eyes, Attention, and Decipher – while participating in lots of interesting and fun lipreading activities in a warm, engaging class environment.
